Silver jewellery is an all-time favourite piece! We all love our silver jewellery for many years and use it in everyday and special occasions!

925 Silver is an alloy of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper. Ornato sterling silver jewellery come in 24ct yellow Gold Vermeil, 18ct Rose Gold Vermeil and Black Rhodium Vermeil or it is left in its pure Sterling Silver form for its natural colour.

Sterling silver jewellery should be kept away from sweat, humidity, direct sunlight and cosmetics. It should be stored in a soft fabric pouch or in its original box so that you can continue enjoying its beauty.

Brass is commonly used in jewellery as a base metal, due to its malleable characteristics.

Ornato brass jewellery is plated in 24ct yellow gold, 18ct rose gold and black rhodium for an extra effect or powder-coated for a vivid colourful effect.

Powder coating refers to a dry powder electrostatically applied to the metal surface and then heated to create a durable, uniform finish. As heated, the melted powder forms a coating that is both physically and chemically bonded to the surface. This powder coating is virtually chip, fade and scratch-resistant.

Plated or powder-coated brass pieces will, unfortunately, tarnish over time. However, if you keep your brass jewellery away from water, sweat, humidity, direct sunlight and cosmetics, and store it in a soft fabric pouch or its original box, you will still have it looking fresh and beautiful.

Wooden jewellery offers a raw elegance that we love for everyday or special occasions. Wood is a breathing, natural element and should be handled with extra care.

The wood we use in Ornato Jewellery is totally conflict-free and comes from responsible sources. It hasn’t gone through any chemical procedure, but it has a mild oil film in order to last over time and is coloured with vibrant chemical-free colours.

Wooden jewellery should be kept away from water, sweat, humidity, direct sunlight and cosmetics. It should be stored in a soft fabric pouch or in its original box, in order to remain in its beautiful, original form.

Leather jewellery can give an edgy touch to any look and elevate an everyday outfit. Ornato leather is synthetic, cruelty-free and alternatively-made.

We are opposed to any cruelty occurring animals and we work with people who use alternative-leather materials.

Leather jewellery should be kept away from water, sweat, humidity, direct sunlight and cosmetics. It should be stored in a soft fabric pouch or in its original box, in order to continue looking beautiful.

We love the elegant sparkle that pearls and gemstones give on simple pieces, but it’s important for us to use only cruelty-free resources.

Pearls used in Ornato jewellery are cultured or farmed and they follow ethical guidelines. That goes for gemstones too; gemstones used in Ornato jewellery are lab-created and conflict-free. In particular, cubic zirconia, a lab-created stone that is very similar to a diamond in appearance, offers peace of mind to those who are opposed to the practices of gemstone and diamond exploitation.

Ornato jewellery with pearls, gemstones or cubic zirconia should be kept away from water, sweat, humidity, direct sunlight and cosmetics. It should be stored in a soft fabric pouch or in its original box, in order to continue having its beautiful shine.

At Ornato, we love the colourful vibrant touch that enamel brings to simple and minimalistic pieces! Enameling is an ancient art, dating back to the ancient Persians, Egyptians, Greeks and Chinese. In simple terms, it is a glass paste, which is applied to the metal and then heated, to be fused to the surface. The finish of the enamel can be translucent or opaque.

In Ornato jewellery, we use cold enamel, a pigmented epoxy resin that gives the enamel effect, without the use of high temperatures.

Enamel jewellery should be handled with care and kept away from water, sweat, humidity, direct sunlight and cosmetics. It should be stored in a soft fabric pouch or its original box, in order to preserve its vibrant colour and beautiful consistency.
